A nice and insightful review of our recently released single ”Away From The Sun”

The first decade of the new millennium was a strong time for the melodic guitar rock band Ronnie Starr. However, something happened after Off The City album, because that started a 16-year dry season in the field of publications. The silence finally breaks with the single "Away From the Sun", which continues exactly where Ronnie Starr left off in 2007.

The secret of sunny, catchy and easy guitar pop rock is kind of a mystery, when basically nothing new is brought to the table and a great song is created only from familiar pieces and it turns out to be an incomprehensibly brilliant gem. The sun shines warmly, carefree and unhurried, the little harmonies ”woo-hoo-hoos” and the polished guitar sound works well. The light shines gently through the vocals, and the cheerfulness of it all is not forced down the throat. Everything is just as it should be and the melodic guitar pop rock delicacy tastes like strawberry. The Ronnie Starr of the 20s is wonderfully familiar and refreshingly fresh at the same time, so welcome back dear Starr.
